I was very nervous but excited doing the Junior Run Out. I could here the crowd cheering the Eagles out. When I started running out the team it felt like I was playing Rugby League for my home Club the Eagles in front of over 15,000 people.
When I was on the field it looked bigger than watching the game from the seats, and the crowd looked so amazing and sounded so loud. Looking at the players on the field was excellent.
I was very honoured to do this for the Sea Eagles and I’ll never forget it. It has been the biggest thing I’ve done yet.

Hi my name is Matt, and I was lucky enough to run on the Seaeagles side in the game against the Roosters.
I will not only remember the game because of the score line but because of the great experience of the night. The players I met in the tunnel were all friendly and shook my hand and to run out in front of 10,000 screaming seaeagles fans was awesome.
Thankyou for giving me the chance for doing this and GO THE SEAEAGLES!! |

Before running out I was very nervous but once I got out into the middle of the ground I was too excited to be nervous. This was one of the best nights of my life and I can’t wait until I am old enough to be running out to play for Manly myself.
Everyone was fantastic to me, in particular Jacko who showed me what to do. The only person I didn’t like was Sherwin from the bulldogs who was very rude to me, instead of nicely asking me for the ball to kick off with he just said “give it!” I’ll bet the Manly players would have been more polite if they were kicking off. |

It was Steve Menzies 310th game, the night I led the Manly Sea Eagles out onto the field at Brookvale Oval. Steve Menzies is Manly's greatest player.
I was so excited to be at Brookie Oval and some of my friends from Cromer Kingfishers were there to see me. It was great fun and I was so happy to have been chosen to lead out the Manly Sea Eagles.
Thank you Steve Menzies.
Thank you the Manly Sea Eagles. |

The stadium looked MASSIVE from the centre spot. It was fantastic running out of the tunnel into all the noise with the Eagles behind me. |

When I first found out I had been chosen I thought great! First I met Jacko at the tunnel and then he took me out onto the ground for a practice. The cheerleaders were dancing right next to us and the players were warming up. I was feeling a bit nervous. Then I went into the change room area to wait. Dad waited with me. The cheerleaders and all the players came back past me while I was waiting so I thought I must be going out soon. Jacko came back out and said here is the game ball. The ballboys were waiting next to me and they said they would help me if I needed. They were nice. Next thing I knew I was running out and I placed the ball next to the kick off tee. I was concentrating so much I didn't notice the crowd. When I was running back I saw Mummy and Nana whistling their heads off. It was very fun and kind of scary. I think I was a good luck charm because Manly won which was great. |

I was excited as we drove up from Canberra to Sydney but got nervous as we got closer to Brookvale Oval. I was glad that my dad, my 2 brothers, my Pop and my friend Tim were there with me! The nice man showed me what to do before the game and the crowd cheered for me as my name was said over the speakers - I waved to everyone. I got to stand where the players run out and saw Matt Orford. It was exciting to run out onto the oval after the mascot and before the players. I placed the ball where I had to and then ran back to Dad. We sat on the hill and watched Manly win. I had a great day - thank you. |

I was really happy that I got to run out of the tunel onto the field. When I found out I was picked to run the ball out I was heaps excited and all my friends wished that it was them. When I put the ball down Matty Orford patted me on the head and so I was proud. I love Manly and one day I want to play for them too. |

It was the most wonderful day there to be a sea eagle fan. When my mum told me that I had been picked I couldn't believe it, I was speechless. I was really scared to start off with, but then when it was time to run out I was biting my tongue. I got to meet all the players in the change room, (it was fun but a bit smelly!!!) When I was trying to place the ball on the field it kept falling over so Darren Lockyer came over and asked me if I needed any help. That was really nice of him. I am so so so so happy that my godmother Cathy made me a sea eagle member. You should become a member also because you might get picked to run out with the ball and it is fantastic fun!!! Something I will remember forever!! I have moved to The Whitsundays in QLD, but still support Manly, so look out for me in April when the eagles play the Cowboys, I will have my maroon colours on.... |

It was the best day of my life. Running out through the tunnel with Beaver, BK, Matty Orford and the boys when they played Melbourne Storm was awesome. Going into the change room after we flogged the Storm and meeting all the players was so cool. I want to play with the mighty Manly Sea Eagles when I grow up |

I was really happy to be asked to lead the team out on such a big day. At the game I was told what I had to do and a man took me on the pitch for a practice. I sat outside the changing rooms and could hear the Eagles singing. I was a bit nervous but very excited. A man told me it was time to go and the players came out of the changing rooms with BK in front. BK looked at me and said "OK little lady lets go" and I ran down the steps with the ball under my arm and the team running down behind me. It was really noisy and everyone was cheering. BK ran with me and patted me on the head when I had put the ball in the centre and said "Well done" and "Thanks”. Lots of my friends saw me on the television and heaps of people were talking to me about it when I got back to school. It was a great day and even better that Manly won |

It was the most exciting thing I’ve ever done but I was very nervous about running my favourite team onto Brookie Oval and I hope one day to run on to play for Manly. |

When I heard I was going to run the ball out at the start of the game I was really nervous. I was even more nervous while I was waiting in the tunnel for the Roosters to run out first. When I ran down the tunnel and onto the field Ben Kennedy tapped me on the head and I put the ball down on the kicking tee.
I was really proud to do it and it was really fun. I can also tell me friends that I have been on TV, that is pretty cool.
